4th of July
by James Patterson
Lindsay Boxer is back, trying to solve murders!
Lindsay Boxer, in self defense, has to fire her weapon during a car chase. She ends up killing a girl and now the family is suing the police department, and Lindsay has to go to trial.
Meanwhile, on a leave of absence because of the trial, Lindsay goes to stay at her sister's house. In Half Moon Bay there has been a murderer on the loose, killing couples. There are no witnesses, and no evidence. Lindsay, being Lindsay, can't stay away, and finds herself investigating these murders, even though she could get in serious trouble if people back home found out, because of her upcoming trial.
Will Lindsay be found guilty or not guilty during the trial? And can she solve these crimes, and catch the murderer before he ends up killing again? Can she solve it without the help of her friends? This murderer has been stalking Lindsay, so she is afraid she may be next.
This is the 4th book in the Women's Murder Club Series, but it is not the last book. The author has just written another.
