Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder
by Joanne Fluke
First book of the Series
Hannah Swensen returns to her hometown after her father dies. She ends up staying and opens a popular business called The Cookie Jar. She makes and sells her delicious cookies.
One day she goes out back in the alley of the shop, and finds a dead body. He is one of her customers. She decides to help her brother in law, who is a cop, solve this murder. While Hannah is trying to solve this crime, she stumbles upon another dead body!
Will Hannah help her brother in law solve these murders, or will the new cop in town solve it, and get all the credit?
Joanne Fluke's new series has unique book titles. They are all about recipes. I thought that was very unusual, and so I just had to find out if this series was any good. I did rather enjoy it, but I've read a lot of murder mysteries, and to me this book is like the rest. I had the murderer pegged before Hannah did. If I can solve it before the sleuth does, then to me it's not that great a book. I am still giving it a 7 out of 10 because the book had some good cookie recipes in it.
