The Hot Flash Club
by Nancy Thayer
If you like chick lit books, then you'll like this one!
In this first book of the series, four older women meet at a party, and form a club. They call it the Hot Flash Club because they are all at that age, where you experience menopause and hot flashes.
They each have their own problems, either at work, or with their children, or husbands. So they all decide to help one another out, and meet once a week or so to tell each other of their findings.
One woman wants to find out if her son-in-law is cheating on her daughter. One woman wants to find out if the hot younger chick is after her job. Another wants to open a health spa, but doesn't have the money. The last one wants to find out if her son is marrying the wrong woman.
I thought this book was funny. I couldn't really relate to it much, but I still found it amusing. The author really knew how to describe the characters, and their problems, without over doing it.
If you enjoy a good chick lit book, then this is it. I would definitely recommend this one to any person over 30.
