Snail's Legs

by Damian Harvey & Korky Paul

How did Snail become so slow?

Frog and Snail are best friends who love to race, but Frog is older and Snail is much younger. Frog used to be the fastest runner in the woods, but now Snail can always beat him. One day the King's chef comes and states that he is on a royal mission to find the strongest legs in the forest.

In this tongue in cheek tale, the reader can only guess what the King's chef wants with the strongest legs. But neither Frog nor Snail seem to care what the chef wants with them, they are too preoccupied with being the fastest.

The story takes a twist as Snail realizes his dear friend can't possibly outrun him. Snail allows him to win the race, but soon finds out the prize is not exactly what they had expected.

The illustrations by Korky Paul add a comic book dimension to the book.

This humorous story is a cute way of introducing predictions with young children ages 6 to 8.
