Butterfly, Butterfly
by Petr Horacek
A colorful and engaging picture book about the animals that live in a garden.
Lucy discovers a beautiful butterfly in her garden, but as quickly as it comes, it seems to disappear out of sight. In searching around she finds a pink earthworm, a brown spider, a red ladybug, an orange snail, and a few more colorful creatures living in her yard. The final page literally bursts open with a rainbow butterfly.
This Eric Carle-esque book features bright cut-out pages, which will hold the interest of the young child, age 3 to 7.
This is a great book for introducing colors as well as the signs of spring to pre-schoolers.
