Silly School
by Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick
Beth doesn't want to go to silly school today.
On Beth's first day of school, Beth decides school is silly and she doesn't want to go. Her mommy and an assortment of loving and concerned relatives, all try to cajole Beth and talk her into going to school, but Beth only becomes more stubborn. Young children will be able to relate to Beth, when she realizes that going to school doesn't sound so bad after all.
The colorful illustrations bring the simple story to life. Children will be drawn to the cute mop-head Beth and her lovable and unique family members, especially long-haired dad.
This story is appropriate for ages 3 to 6 and would make a perfect gift for the child entering any school setting for the first time. It would also make a great read-aloud for the Pre-K or Kindergarten teacher in September.
