This is a book from which even parents and teachers will learn. Riley goes on an amazing adventure to the rain forest of Borneo and there he, as well as the reader, learns about all kinds of interesting things. Information about: Orangutans, strangler fig vines, sun bears, flying snakes, tree frogs and so much more, gives the reader a glimpse of the rain forest and all it contains. The pages contain not only the travel story of Riley and his Uncle Max, but "fact" boxes on each animal encountered.
The illustrations are interspersed with digital photographs, making the peek into this fascinating area, that much more realistic.
Adventures of Riley books educate, as well as entertain, with scientists collaborating on this project. The back of the book contains a glossary for additional facts and a website for further exploration.
Children ages 4 to 8 will enjoy this book, especially those interested in animals.
