The Police Cloud

A cloud always wished he could be a police officer, but when he tried his hand at the job, things didn't seem to work out. He wanted to stop a thief, but the robber just ran through the cloud and got away. When he attempted to direct traffic, the cars could not see through him and chaos ensued.

Saddened by his inability to be a police officer, the cloud cried big tears, causing rain to fall on a burning house. The firefighters who came upon the scene asked the cloud if he would consider joining the fire department instead.

This adorable story teaches the lesson that we all have a purpose and if one dream doesn't work out, we might need to find another.

This is the first picture book for author and illustrator, Christoph Niemann, whose drawings have been featured in New Yorker, New York Times and Time. The simple illustrations are done in bright appealing colors and add to the whimsy of the story.

The Police Cloud is a great book for ages 4 to 7.
