Guitar Girl

by Sarra Manning

About teen girls that are in a rock band.

I think the only reason I liked this book is because I love rock music and am learning how to play a guitar at the moment. This book is for teens, and I am no longer one. But I enjoyed it! It's about this all-girl rock band who are playing small gigs. The only thing is that they need to practice more. So in comes two dudes who end up joining the band. Now the band, who is called The Hormones, are no longer an all girl band. The lead Singer Molly is not happy about this, but learns to adjust. That is until she and one of the dudes start fighting and won't stop fighting. They can't stand each other. And then there is Jane, who drinks way too much. Throw in sex, love, drugs, rock and roll, and a manager who is bossy and only sees dollar signs and you got yourself a good book to read. It had its funny moments. I would recommend this book to any girl 13 and up. A good chick lit book.
