Rachel cannot believe it when she finds out that her younger sister is a witch, an actual bewitched witch. And apparently so is her mother. Rachel is very jealous that she doesn't have the supernatural gift.
So Rachel gets Miri to cast different spells despite their mother forbidding Miri to use her magic. Rachel gets her sister to grant her a spell so she can be a great dancer and be in the fashion show. Then she gets her sister to cast a spell on their father's fiancee. Of course since Miri is new to the whole spell thing that spell doesn't exactly work.
This book is hilariously funny. So many things happen to Rachel because of the spells.
