Though Kate Middleton may have spent Valentine's Day without her husband, Prince William, she got plenty of flowers to make up for it.

Whitney Houston and 'The Bodyguard'

The tragic death of music legend Whitney Houston, ironically, coincides with the 20th anniversary of her movie debut The Bodyguard (1992).

In that film, she played Rachel Marron, a singer/actress who, after being nominated for an Academy Award for her acting, begins receiving death threats. This leads to former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer (played by Kevin Costner) being assigned to protect her as Oscar night approaches. The two begin to fall in love with each other as Frank’s efforts to protect Rachel increase.

‘Dexter’ actor Jonny Lee Miller cast as Sherlock Holmes in CBS pilot ‘Elementary’

Jonny Lee Miller, who had a recurring role on Showtime’s Dexter has been cast as Sherlock Holmes in a new pilot for CBS called Elementary.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS describes the show as a modern-day take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s timeless Sherlock Holmes stories set in New York. It will be one of eight pilots CBS has ordered that will compete for a slot in the fall.

Tonight, BET is proud to present The BET Honors which, for the fifth year in a row, is being hosted by actress Gabrielle Union. With awards season in full throttle, it’s kind of like “another day, another honor!”

Looking back at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, there are a lot of hot topics to be discussed ranging from who said what, who wore what and how homage was paid while remembering Whitney Houston to the performances and Grammy award winners.

No doubt music’s biggest night was disrupted by the untimely death of Houston but her spirit was very much alive within the Staples Center and with that being said, all that the music industry had to offer last night should be praised and applauded as well.
