Legendary Beatle Paul McCartney, 66, is scheduled to open the celebration of the new Citi Field Stadium in the New York City borough of Queens next month. According to USA Today, McCartney immediately jumped at the invitation.

McCartney isn't afraid of new, modern bands and performers. He overcame any nervousness after he performed at England's Glastonbury Festival in 2004.

Judge Hugh Bennett said Tuesday that Heather Mills twisted the truth to fit her convenience and made excessive financial demands from former husband Paul McCartney. According the the Associated Press, the judge called Mills "explosive and volatile" and referred to her as a "less than impressive witness" due to her inconsistent and inaccurate testimony during the divorce trial.

Mills's attempt to block the testimony from the public was rejected by the judge. Mills portrayed her former Beatles husband as an abusive alcoholic and angrily accused him of making fun of her disability.

Judge to Settle McCartney, Mills Divorce

After many months of intense media coverage and accusations, Paul McCartney is expected to receive a judgment on his divorce dispute.

According to Reuters, former Beatle Paul McCartney is expected to find out on Monday how much of his fortune he must hand over to estranged wife Heather Mills when a judge rules on their highly publicized divorce.

It is still unclear whether Judge Hugh Bennett will make public all or part of his decision, due to be handed out at London's High Court.

If either side is unhappy, they can apply for permission to challenge the ruling in the Court of Appeal. Unlike the closed hearings so far, those proceedings would be in open court.

The Associated Press announced that a British judge will give the financial terms of Paul McCartney and Heather Mills's divorce settlement on March 17.

The Judicial Communications Office said Judge Hugh Bennett will deliver his ruling to McCartney, Mills and their lawyers during a private court hearing. Judge Bennett will then decide whether to make any of the ruling public.

Reuters reports that pop icon Paul McCartney and ex-model Heather Mills failed to agree on a divorce settlement on Monday after six days in court, leaving the judge to decide how much of the former Beatle's fortune Mills should receive.

Judge Hugh Bennett will make his decision at a later date.

McCartney's fortune is estimated at 825 million pounds ($1.6 billion), and judgments involving this sort of wealth are usually given in public to give guidance to divorce lawyers.

According to Associated Press the weeklong divorce hearing ended Monday without a final agreement. Judge Hugh Bennett, has reserved his ruling and will spend several weeks working out a settlement.

Heather Mills was to settle for $108 million. Paul McCartney was not in court Monday although he was in court all last week. He was likely rehearsing for the Brit Awards, the UK equivalent of the Grammys, which is to air this Wednesday according to the British Press Association.

The couple married in 2002 four years after the death of McCartney's first wife Linda.
