Erin Brockovich

You would be hard pressed not to get caught up in the energy and enthusiasm of what environmental activist Erin Brockovich has to say. Her everywoman approach and Midwest sensibility to taking on some of the more controversial projects in this country has kept her grounded and focused. Nothing, however, could have prepared her for that day in 1996 that would change not only the course of her life, but the lives of more than 600 Hinkley, Calif., residents while rewriting history with the landmark case against PG&E.

Mark Ballas

Mark Ballas was born into a dancing family as the son of dance champions Shirley and Corky Ballas. Mark is a professional ballroom dancer featured on four seasons of the hit ABC show, "Dancing with the Stars." He is also in a band with his childhood friends in which he plays lead guitar and sings lead vocals. Mark spoke with TheCelebrityCafe.com's Alexis Krellenstein about dancing with stars and music.

Alexis Krellenstein: How did you get into dancing?

Known for his unpredictability at the table and his nickname, the "Poker Brat," Hellmuth is one of the most recognizable faces in the world of poker. TCC's Kimberly Helk chatted with him about poker and his plans for the next few hands life has in store for him.

KH:Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of your first main event win in the World Series of Poker. How are you feeling about the WSOP tournament this month?

PH: Well, I need to prove a few things to myself.

Sarah Burke

At the age of 26, Sarah Burke has accomplished more than most. She has broken down the barriers for women skiers in competition and has placed 1st in more than a dozen events and has won the ESPY for Best Female Action Sports Athlete. She perseveres, not only in competition, but also tried her hand recently at the Nautica Triathlon, benefiting St. Jude where she took 2nd place, even though she is recovering from a broken back.

Sarah took some time out from the slopes to talk with TCC's Kimberly Helk about snow, skis, and life.

KH: So what first got you started on skiing?

SB: Well my family is all skiers, big background of skiers, my grandparents, and it was just something we all started doing. It started when I was about 5 and spent all that time with my family.

TM: It's all smoke and mirrors. I'm like the Queen of England at Buckingham Palace. I show up every now and then to wave and everybody else does the work.

Kristi Yamaguchi

Kristi Yamaguchi captured fame in America when she captured the gold medal in figure skating at the 1992 Winter Games. Since then, she has dazzled audiences with her ice skating performances for Stars on Ice and, recently, showed off her dancing skills on Dancing With The Stars. Kristi now spends her time with her husband hockey player BrettHedican, and her daughters Kaera and Emma, as well as various projects.

A Grammy Award-winner, Ziggy has followed in his father's footsteps as a reggae musician. And Ziggy is also following his father's lead as a political activist. Ziggy has worked with the United Nations and also started a record label, Ghetto Youths Crew. Here, we chat with Ziggy about his views on his music, his spirituality, and what people need to do to get along.

DM) You're looking forward to this tour?

ZM) Yeah, mon very much.

DM) Do you find you're more the kind of guy who enjoys the touring or recording?

ZM) I like it all.

Allee Willis

Allee Willis is a multimedia mogul. She is probably best known for writing the theme to the television series "Friends," "I'll Be There For You." However, she has many other claims to fame. She won a Grammy for Best Soundtrack for "Beverly Hills Cop," and also wrote hits for artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Bob Dylan and the Pointer Sisters. To date her records have sold over 50 million copies worldwide.

But, she is not just a songwriter. Willis is also an artist and a pioneer with the Internet. She even appeared before congress in 1997 to talk about artist's rights in the new medium. She also has done consultation work for AOL, Disney and Intel.

Recently, Willis got back into music, but a different type of music. She, along with Brenda Russell and Steven Bray, wrote the music and lyrics to the Broadway hit "The Color Purple," based on the Alice Walker book. The show has taken over Broadway and will begin its national tour in the coming months.

WG) I do this thing with the children where I said, "Breathing in, I calm my body. (breathes) Breathing out, I smile. (breathes) Breathing in, this supreme moment. (breathes) Breathing out, I know it's a wonderful moment." When I do that with the children, they all jump for joy.
