Parks and Recreation Recap: End of the World

When they put their minds to it, Leslie and Ben really know how to break our hearts. Watching their reluctant but necessary split in the season premiere was a lesson in gut-wrenching tragedy, and they brought their best devastating aching out again last night in “End of the World,” a relationship-heavy episode improbably driven by a Harold Camping-like doomsday prophet.

Parks and Recreation Recap: Pawnee Rangers

Despite their totally different philosophies, Ron and Leslie are known more for their ability to work well together than petty squabbling. Yet this episode showed the pair at-odds over local boys’ and girls’ clubs. While we saw a moment of true vulnerability from Ron, it was a competition which both seemingly won in the end. Also winners in this episode? Tom and Donna, whose excellent holiday (Treat Yo Self), should be adopted by our nation as soon as possible.

Leap Year

By Irish tradition, a woman can propose marriage to a man once every four years... and Anna plans to do just that. Leap Year is a romantic comedy with a touch of Irish folklore.

Amy Adams plays Anna, an uptight real estate exhibitor from Boston. After her cardiologist boyfriend of four years, Jeremy (Adam Scott), presents her with diamond earrings instead of an engagement ring, Anna decides to take matters into her own hands. Following the old Irish tradition, she plans a journey to Dublin in order to propose to Jeremy on leap-year day, February 29.
