After his abrupt departure from MSNBC, Keith Olbermann has a new home on Al Gore’s Current TV network.

Olbermann will take the position of “Chief News Officer” and host a new one-hour nightly show, writes TMZ .

This will be the first show Olbermann will host since his strange and abrupt departure from MSNBC last month.

And it seems like Al Gore is thrilled to have Olbermann on-board.

Portland police decided to reopen former Vice President Al Gore’s sex abuse case Wednesday after it had been closed for four years.

Law enforcement sources reported that Portland District Attorney Michael Schrunk ordered the case be reopened after the department received public criticism for how it handled the investigation, which had initially been dismissed due to “insufficient evidence,” according to ABC News.

It was revealed on Wednesday that authorities have decided to re-open the sexual assault investigation involving Al Gore, but police did not provide an explanation as to why the case will re-surface. According to the Associated Press, an extra review is needed in the investigation as a result of a misstep that was taken by detectives in 2009. They reportedly failed to inform high-ranking officials that they chose to drop the case and close the investigation at the time.

That seems to be true in this case. Masseuse Holly Hagerty, 54 – who voted for Gore - alleged three years ago that the former Vice President made “unwanted sexual contact” with her in a Portland hotel room.

The former vice president broke his silence by issuing a strong denial on Wednesday about the sexual assault claims. Gore’s statement comes the same time police say they are reopening the investigation.

The supposed event of sexual assault took place four years prior to today’s public knowledge.

A masseuse gave a statement to police last year claiming that Gore groped her during a three-hour massage at a luxury hotel on Oct. 24 2006. Police previously did not pursue the case because of a lack of evidence.
