After a lengthy small-screen career, thanks to the CW's sudsy Smallville and the whole first-major-superhero-movie title with 1977's Christopher Reeve box office hit, it's hard to imagine there are many people who aren't at least vaguely familiar with Superman's origins.

Maybe that's why critics seem to be somewhat unimpressed by the official plot synopsis of Zack Snyder's upcoming Man of Steel.

The first promo for The Muppets movie starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams debuted on the Internet today. The trailer is a spoof advertising a movie called Green with Envy, which looks like a romantic comedy.

Halfway through the trailer, Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the Muppet gang appear and it becomes clear that the trailer is really for a Muppet movie starring Segel and Adams.

Though reports said that the upcoming Superman film may not have Lois Lane as the female lead, it seems that these reports were wrong because Amy Adams has been cast as the classic Superman love interest.

The Telegraph reports that filmmakers involved with the project and director Zack Snyder thought that Amy Adams would be perfect for the Lois Lane role as soon as they met with her.
