The Foo Fighters debuted a music video for the lead single from their seventh studio album Wasting Light on MTV Thursday. The performance-based clip, directed by frontman Dave Grohl, was shot entirely on VHS tape.

“We shot the video ... in a big soundstage in Los Angeles,” Grohl told MTV News. “And we had to build this cube out of fabric and wood for the band to play within, and it’s lit from outside.”

As we witnessed at the end of episode nine of TheCelebrityCafe.com’s exclusive reality series Crash Course to Stardom, Bascom Hill was told that they would not be performing at coveted venues such as L.A.’s House of Blues, West Hollywood’s Roxy Theatre, or Whisky A Go Go. Instead, they were brought to Justin Platt’s ninth birthday party to perform a set and earn grades from those who have mentored them in various aspects of the one-week boot camp.
