Andy Williams has cancer

Singer Andy Williams announced Saturday he had bladder cancer.

Williams broke the bad news while performing at the Moon River Theater in Branson, MO. The concert was a Christmas celebration.

But he’s optimistic that he’ll get through it.

"I do have cancer of the bladder,” he said. "But that is no longer a death sentence. People with cancer are getting through this thing. They’re kicking it, and they're winning more and more every year. And I'm going to be one of them."

Singer Andy Williams has confirmed that he does in fact have bladder cancer.

The 83-year-old "Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You" singer, opened up to his Branson, Missouri audience on Saturday, confirming the scary news. In a statement according to CNN Williams informed, “You may have read or heard that I have bladder cancer. It's true and I'm currently undergoing treatment to deal with it."

Survivor: Africa winner, Ethan Zohn, has announced that cancer has returned to his chest. Zohn was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and had been cancer free for over 20 months, but now the Survivor winner will have to fight again.

CNN.com reported that Zohn’s cancer has been localized to his lung area, not all over his entire body.

Actor Larry Hagman, who starred as J. R. Ewing on Dallas and is currently filming TNT’s revival of the series, revealed on Friday that he has been diagnosed with cancer.

Actor Larry Hagman, known for his role as J.R. on the TV series Dallas, has been diagnosed with cancer.

Doctors informed him, however, that the cancer is in a treatable stage.

Hagman is set to work on Dallas 2.0 on Oct. 17. The show is a reboot of the famous soap opera and will reunite him with Dallas co-stars Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray, among others. The new faces on the show include Jordana Brewster and Jesse Metcalfe.

The death of Spartacus star Andy Whitfield on Sunday, due to non-Hodgkins lymphoma at the age of 39 came as a shock to fans of the show, especially those who might have remembered that he thought he was cancer-free.

Andy Whitfield, star of the Starz series Spartacus: Blood and Sand died on Sunday at age 39.

According to MTV News, Whitfield died of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a disease that he had been battling since March 2010. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is a type of blood cancer.

'Grease's' Annette Charles dies of cancer at 63

Annette Charles, famous for her role as Cha Cha Digregorio in Grease, died Wednesday night in her Los Angeles home. She was 63.

Her rep told TMZ that Charles died from complications from cancer. Her family is expected to release a statement soon. Her doctor had recently found a tumor in one of her lungs after she had difficulty breathing.
