Celine Dion and husband Rene Angelil’s 4-month-old twins were baptized Saturday in Las Vegas.

According to People, 200 friends and family members attended the Melkite Greek Catholic rite at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

"It was a beautiful, traditional family ceremony," Dion's rep said, adding that the ceremony included chanted prayers, songs and honored the heritage of Angelil.

Before the birth of their twin boys, Eddy and Nelson, Céline Dion and René Angélil had to deal with some devastating news, People.com reports.

"For about a week, we thought we had triplets, but sadly on the next visit to the doctor's, we only heard two heartbeats," Dion told Hello! magazine. "That little baby decided to leave the space for the two others and to say goodbye to us."

"It happened very early during the pregnancy," she said. "But still, it shocks you."

Celine Dion is a mom again, having given birth to twin boys Eddy and Nelson, born last Saturday.

Celine Dion is undoubtedly overjoyed by the arrival of her new twin boys, but she recently revealed a devastating secret: she and her husband Rene Angelil, 68, were originally expecting triplets.

Dion, ten days before giving birth, gave an in-depth interview with a French news station during which she revealed she was pregnant with triplets. A few days after learning of the pregnancy, the 42-year-old was informed that one of their hearts stopped beating.
