British singer Cheryl Cole is set to become a charity ambassador.

Following her recovery from malaria last month, Cole has decided to help raise awareness of the disease, hoping to travel to the poorest parts of Africa, where it kills up to 3,000 people every day.

The "Fight For This Love" singer caught the deadly virus whilst on holiday in Tanzania with rumored boyfriend, dancer Derek Hough.
