People has reported that actor Chris Klein, 31, has voluntarily extended his stay in rehab.

"Chris, along with his support team, has decided to extend his treatment. He is doing fantastic and is optimistic about his future. He thanks everyone for their continued support," Klein’s rep, Jaime Primak, said.

After being arrested for driving under the influence last week, American Pie actor Chris Klein has checked himself into rehab. This DUI arrest is Klein's second legal incident that is related to alcohol.

Klein, 31, was pulled over by police while driving on a freeway in Los Angeles. His driving was quite reflective of his state, as his car could be "observed weaving from the (No.) 3 lane into the (No.) 2 and (No.) 4 lane," according to the California Highway Patrol.

Chris Klein has checked himself into rehab following his arrest for drunk driving. Last Wednesday, Klein was pulled over after weaving in between lanes on the Hollywood Freeway.

After failing a sobriety test, Klein was taken into custody and released on $25,000 bail.

Chris Klein was arrested early Wednesday morning after police pulled him over when his car was seen drifting between lanes on a Los Angeles highway.

The 31 year old failed a field sobriety test when his blood level was reportedly measured at .20, twice the legal limit in California.

According to police, Klein was booked and released on his own recognizance, as no bail was set.

This is Klein’s second alcohol-related offense.
