The Question Jar Show, the live album by Mike Doughty

Artist:
Mike Doughty

Mike Doughty recorded a show from his 2009 tour “The Question Jar Show”. That recording has recently become a two-disc album of the same name, compliments of Snack Bar/Megaforce Records. With a voice reminiscent of Eddie Vedder, he delivers an energized and heartfelt performance, with the same knack Vedder has for amusing and entertaining his audience. The music consists of an acoustic guitar, a bass, and Doughty's memorable voice. The sound is a blend of country, rock, and a subtle jazz influence, giving a sound not unlike that of Pearl Jam.

Success is something that everybody strives for. But sometimes when the level of success is so high and so public, it can be overwhelming. That explains why Jerry Seinfeld has been laying low for the past decade and why, at the end of the nine-year run of one of the most iconic TV shows of all time, Seinfeld took a break from the limelight, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Our Idiot Brother

Our Idiot Brother is a bargain of a film. You don’t get just one film that centers on Paul Rudd’s adult-child stoner, Ned Rockliffe, but three additional films in which Ned causes chaos in sisters’ lives.

Ned is released from prison after serving time for selling a stash of marijuana to a policeman. Ned’s girlfriend, Janet (Kathryn Hahn), kicks him off their farm and keeps his dog, Willie Nelson. He ends up living back at home with his eccentric mother, Illene (Shirley Knight).

After he leaves his mom is when the story breaks itself down.
