Former Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain took his own life in 1994, but his band-mates, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, maintain that they never lost their desire to make music although they were left without an integral part of their band.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band’s album Nevermind, Grohl and Novoselic opened up in a radio interview with Jon Stewart on Saturday about their fallen friend.

Universal to reissue 'Nevermind'

Universal will commemorate the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's breakout album, Nevermind, with a special edition.

The deluxe package will feature a BBC appearance and never-before-released concert footage, as well as a DVD of B sides and rarities.

The reissue will be available in the United States on September 20.

Bassist Krist Novoselic will play the album in its entirety during a benefit show in seattle on the same day.

Drummer Dave Grohl is currently the frontman of the Foo Fighters.

September 24 will mark the 20th anniversary since the release of Nirvana’s Nevermind. To commemorate the anniversary, Jon Stewart will host a Q&A session on his Comedy Central show with the band’s surviving members, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.
