David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has been receiving rave reviews across the United States since it hit theaters last year, but India isn’t having any of it.

The Wrap reported the South Asian nation is banning its theaters from showing the movie because the film’s director refused to censor certain scenes.

Sony Pictures announced Tuesday afternoon that it has decided to move the date of David Fincher’s newest film, his adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, up to the night before its originally scheduled date.

Director David Fincher recently discussed footage in a new ad for his upcoming film The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

The TV spot shows the characters Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) and Salander (Rooney Mara) exchanging dialogue when the former unexpectedly shows up at Salander's apartment.

Fincher explained to Entertainment Weekly about the difficulty in getting the tone right for the scene.

Director David Fincher gave a backhanded compliment to Rooney Mara, the star of his upcoming film The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

In an upcoming interview with Vogue magazine, Fincher called Mara a "great weirdo."

Mara plays Lisbeth Salander in the film. She was interviewed along with Fincher.
“I have really enjoyed being a boy this year,” she said of the role. Mara added that the character changed her dressing habits.
