With only three spaces in the finale, the celebrities have to impress with three dances

It's a busy night for the celebrities as they all vie for only three spots in the finals. The contestants had to dance to three songs including the Relay, which was last seen during Season 9. Sadly this probably means that the Salsa won't be seen this season since the contestants are finishing either the Paso Doble or Samba, and all dancing the Argentine Tango.

Lauren Conrad and Derek Hough are no more

After a three-month relationship and what their friends described as a “brief fling,” Dancing with the Stars Derek Hough and former Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad have called it quits.

The Deadbolt News reported that a friend close to Conrad revealed in an interview with Life & Style that Conrad had never planned to have a long-term relationship with Hough.

Who knew they were even together? Well it looks like The Hills star and Dancing with the Stars pro's relationship was over before it could start.

Perez Hilton reported Lauren Conrad dated Derek Hough for a brief period after her breakup with longtime boyfriend Kyle Howard.

However, according to a source, "This was a rebound that wasn't going to last. Derek never thought it would, either," and Conrad "had fun with Derek…but she always kept her options open."

Lauren Conrad broke it off with Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough after losing interest in the relationship.

The former Hills star ended things because she apparently felt that the relationship had "reached its peak," a friend of Conrad's told Life & Style, who first reported the split.

In fact, the fling was seemingly just a rebound relationship for Conrad, who parted with actor Kyle Howard, her boyfriend of three years, this past June.

The Dancing With the Stars pro was in a bit of a pickle after the show Tuesday night.

TMZ reported Derek Hough was waiting in his car for valet outside STK restaurant in Los Angeles when he was hit from behind by a man driving a Porsche.

Derek Hough recently revealed that his latest moves on Dancing With the Stars were done while he was in pain.

Hough was performing with his younger sister, Julianne Hough, Tuesday. Although they both looked in top form, Derek’s smile was a mask for the pain he was feeling. He had suffered a dislocated shoulder during rehearsal.

“He popped it back in, but he is still in a lot of pain,” one source said before show time.
