R&B/Gospel singer David Peaston dies at the age of 54 (Video)

R&B and gospel singer David Peaston died Wednesday at the age of 54. Peaston is best known for his late-’80s and early-’90s hits, including “Can I?” and “Two Wrongs (Don’t Make It Right).”

His death was confirmed to The St. Louis Dispatch by his niece, Neuka Mitchell. She said he was surrounded by his family, including his wife and sons.

Comedian Patrice O’Neal suffers stroke

Comedian Patrice O’Neal, who was recently picked by Comedy Central to perform at The Roast of Charlie Sheen has suffered a stroke.

According to TMZ, the announcement was made on the Opie and Anthony Show, a radio program featuring O’Neal’s friends. Friend and comic Jim Norton said that he suffered the stroke last week, adding that it is uncertain if he will recover. "I didn't want to do this by myself. I wish we had more news for you,” Norton added.

Little Jonas recently teamed up with the pharmaceutical company Bayer to promote a new blood-sugar meter device.

The teen singer, who has been battling against diabetes since he was 13, appeared on a TV ad, playing his guitar while promoting Bayer’s new digital device. The device has a built-in convenient USB port and promises to help track glucose levels over the course of a day.

Nick was told he had Type 1 diabetes and his brother Joe commented, “it was the scariest thing ever.” Joe remembered that, “we went swimming one day and I could see his back and bones.”

Johnson, 30, whose father is New York Jets owner Robert Johnson, was found in her home on Monday
The woman who made the call told the dispatcher it did not appear to be a suicide, but it might have been because of a medication mix up.
Johnson was an insulin-dependent diabetic since childhood.
