The Price is Right host Drew Carey has lost a remarkable 80 lbs. According to HuffingtonPost.com, the actor plans to lose an additional 12 pounds by October 31, to reach his goal weight of 170 lbs.

Carey, who now eats right and exercises regularly, is now off of his type-2 diabetes medication. He posed in Parade Magazine, and credited his weight loss idea to his fiancée’s five-year-old son, Connor. “I couldn’t keep up with him... I thought, I’m never going to see him graduate high school,” he said.

Think The Price is Right is going the way of the dinosaur? Not very likely, as host Drew Carey is determined to do his best to keep the beloved game show fresh.

Carey fully endorses new iPhone, Xbox and Wii adaptations of Price, and is eager to see even more. He's already announced a Facebook game that's due out in June.

"I love it. I don't think they're doing as much as they should be doing," Carey told The Associated Press. "Business-wise, you should take advantage of every media stream you can. I want to be part of a gig that's doing new things and trying stuff."
