NBC News asks Mitt Romney to stop using footage in attack ad (Video)

For those that live in Florida, the past week has been filled with political coverage, with Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich fighting for a win in Tuesday’s primary election. One of the advertisements Romney has been using is a 30-second attack ad on Gingrich that includes a 1997 NBC Nightly News report on Gingrich’s House ethics violations. However, the Romney campaign reportedly did not seek NBC News’ permission and the network is now asking that the ads stop being aired.

The Fest 10 releases schedule, free compilation album

Gainesville, Florida will be taken over by punk rock for the tenth time with The Fest, on October 28-30. The Fest, sponsored by No Idea Records and Pabst Blue Ribbon, was first held in May 2002, and is expected to bring over 5,000 people this year. With over two months until the Fest begins, the schedule has been released, and 300 weekend passes have been released for early sale.

Forty-four people were arrested in drug raids involving California, Florida, and New York on Friday. Kareem "Biggs" Burke, co-founder of Jay Z's Roc-A-Fella Records, was one of the 44 people who were arrested.

Burke was arrested for allegedly talking over the phone with the ringleader about "grow houses," reports Yahoo News. Burke was arrested alongside a High Times Magazine employee. Burke faces a life sentence in prison with a minimum of serving 10 years.

Back in February when the first leg of the Battle Studies tour kicked off in Sunrise, Florida, I sat in my seat eagerly awaiting the guitar virtuoso only to be left a little underwhelmed.

Although he had just returned from doing various shows in the UK a few weeks earlier, he seemed restrained. There was little movement on stage, few riffs, and little crowd interaction. John Mayer was still getting his feet wet and had not yet loosened up.
