UPDATE: Sarah Jessica Parker replacing Demi Moore in 'Lovelace'

After rumors swirled that Weeds actress Mary Louise Parker was replacing Demi Moore in upcoming porn star biopic Lovelace, it seems a different HBO actress was actually cast.

Yahoo Movies reported Sarah Jessica Parker will be playing feminist legend Gloria Steinem in the film, which revolves around the life of Linda Lovelace.

Earlier this week, Moore dropped out of the role after she was rushed to the hospital due to “exhaustion” on Monday.

Ben Stiller signs on to star in Jewish family comedy for HBO

Ben Stiller has signed on to star in a Jewish family comedy for HBO called All Talk. Stiller will direct the pilot and also act as executive producer on the show.

Yes, Game of Thrones fans. HBO is premiering season two of your favorite show on April Fool’s Day. The premium cable network announced Friday that the show’s second season will kick off Sunday, April 1.

Variety reported that the second season of the fantasy show will have ten episodes. HBO also produces the series, which has helped it become an even bigger cash cow for the network.

Warner Bros. to force Netflix, Redbox and Blockbuster to wait 56 days to offer DVDs to customers

Just after it was reported that Time Warner subsidiary HBO told Netflix that it will no longer supply the renting service with DVDs and Blu-rays of its programs, it has been reported that Time Warner’s Warner Bros. will make Netflix, Redbox and Blockbuster wait 56 days after a film’s home video release before they can offer copies to subscribers to rent.

Renting DVDs and Blu-rays of your favorite HBO show through Netflix just got a bit harder. HBO is no longer going to allow Netflix to order copies of their shows through them. HBO programs will still be available to rent through Netflix. Except now, Netflix will have to find some other way to get copies.

'Summer Heights High's' Chris Lilley brings 'Angry Boys' to HBO January 1 (Video)

HBO’s one-season wonder Summer Heights High was fronted by actor Chris Lilley, who played the part of three characters at an Australian high school.

Lilley is now heading back to the small screen with new 12-episode arc in Angry Boys, in which he plays six dramatic roles.

Angry Boys is set to premiere this Sunday on HBO at 10 p.m., The Associated Press reports. Every week, two half-hour episodes will air with Lilley showcasing a half-dozen different personas.

Taylor will replace Patty Jenkins, who was let go earlier this month

Earlier this month, it was reported that Marvel Studios’ Thor 2 looked like it was in danger after Monster director Patty Jenkins dropped out over “creative differences.” At the time, it was reported that Marvel was confident that they would hire a replacement quickly and it has now been reported that the company has. Alan Taylor has been hired as Jenkins’ replacement.

HBO released the first short promotional clip for Game Change, the network’s television film adaptation of Mark Halperin and John Heilemann’s book about the 2008 presidential election. However, the film does not focus on the winner of the election, Barak Obama, but Republican Senator John McCain and Sarah Palin’s campaign against him.
