Thousands mourn the rapper's death at a ceremony in his hometown

Rising hip-hop star, Mante “M-Bone” Talbert, was put to rest on Friday at an open funeral in Inglewood, California, two weeks after he was murdered.

On his way to success from his song “Teach me how to Dougie,” the star’s career was cut short when he was gunned down in a drive-by shooting at a liquor store in his hometown on May 15.

According to MTV News, thousands of family and friends attended the funeral and paid their respects at the Faithful Center Bible Church.

Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart and Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly took part in a debate about Common’s recent appearance at a White House poetry event during Monday night’s episode of The O’Reilly Factor.

After several Fox News anchors expressed their disdain over Common’s White House appearance, Stewart mocked their positions on The Daily Show by saying, “[Common was the] subject of Fox News Channel’s latest exercise in fits of hissy.”

O’Reilly responded by challenging Stewart to a debate on his Fox News talk show, and The Daily Show host accepted the invitation.
