Out of all of the films that were nominated for Best Sound Mixing and Best Sound Editing, Inception was able to walk away with both awards.

It comes as no surprise that this film would win these two awards because sound was a major part to the film as a whole. Because of the complexity of what was going on in the film, a lot of different sounds had to be produced both at the same time and at different times in the film to make what the characters were doing look realistic.

French actress Marion Cotillard has supposedly joined the cast of the upcoming film The Dark Knight Rises.

The Washington Post reports that according to French newspaper Le Parisien, Cotillard, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in the French film La Vie en Rose, will add The Dark Knight Rises to her growing list of American movie credits.

Box office revenues have been below the previous year’s mark for 10 consecutive weeks, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Major studios were anticipating a rise from 2010’s 5% decline in overall movie attendance, but 2011 is not off to a strong start. This weekend’s total box office numbers will be 25% below last year’s.
