‘So You Think You Can Dance’ choreographer gets 10-year prison sentence for rape

Alex Da Silva will also be required to register as a sex offender

Alex Da Silva, a salsa dance instructor who worked as a choreographer on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance received a 10-year prison sentence Friday for raping a woman and assaulting another.

According to E! News, Da Silva, 43, had been convicted by a Los Angeles jury back in September for the August 2002 rape of a 22-year-old female student and the March 2009 assault of a 25-year-old woman with the intent to rape.

First there was Jenelle Evans, and now Teen Mom’s Amber Portwood is living la vida loca in jail.

NBC News reported the 21-year-old will be spending Christmas behind bars after authorities found pills in her home.

Amber claimed the pills from an older prescription, but could not show proof of that order and was arrested and taken to jail.

New York man sentenced to prison after pirating copy of 'Wolverine' film

A New York man was sentenced to one year in federal prison for uploading a pirated copy of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on Monday.

Gilberto Sanchez, 49, pleaded guilty in March 2011 to uploading a “workprint” copy of the movie in March 2009, a month before the film’s release, the Associated Press reported.

He uploaded the film to Megaupload.com and publicized the upload by posting links on two other sites.

Amber’s brother, Shawn Portwood, told E! News that she missed her probation hearing and consequently, authorities went to her home.

Amber Portwood, star of the MTV reality series, Teen Mom, was sent to jail Monday for violating her probation.

A judge who had issued a warrant for her arrest put her in Madison County Jail in Indiana. She was arrested at a meeting with probation officers.
