Director James Cameron has once again been sued over his mega-hit film, Avatar (2009).
This time it is science fiction writer Bryant Moore who has filed suit against the director, claiming Cameron stole his idea for the movie from Moore’s screenplays, entitled Aquatica and Descendants: The Pollination. Moore filed suit Monday and is seeking over $2 billion - $1.5 billion in actual damages and $1 billion in punitive damages - from Cameron and 20th Century Fox.
