Throughout the summer, many have wondered whether or not Jennifer Lopez will return to American Idol. It turns out that the singer is returning to American Idol after all.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the producer, Nigel Lythgoe, informed the audience in the talk show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, that Jennifer Lopez will be returning to American Idol. Seacrest asked Lythgoe, “Do you want to do the Jennifer announcement here or are we still waiting?”
