Diablo Cody to lose faith with 'God,' gain directorial experience

Diablo Cody broke into the screenwriting business with 2007's humorously awkward and critically acclaimed Juno, but now she'll be adding "director" to her resume.

Deadline reports that Mandate Pictures has bought the witty stripper-turned-scribe's latest effort, Lamb of God, which she will both write and direct.

The Academy Award-winning screenwriter had her first child Tuesday

Screenwriter Diablo Cody wrote about it in her Oscar-winning screenplay, 2007’s Juno, and now it’s happened for her in real life. The former stripper and current screenwriter gave birth to her first child on Tuesday, reports MSNBC.

"We had our boy early this morning! Marcello Daniel Maurio, 7lbs, 2 oz, lightly mustachioed," Cody tweeted Tuesday evening.
