Former Beatle Paul McCartney was announced as one of the performers for this year’s Grammy Awards, but he may also get a chance to perform on a much bigger stage. The “Band on the Run” singer hinted that he may have a role in the 2012 Summer Olympics, which will be held in London.

The Rock community mourns Tuesday after police discovered the body of Bob Weston in his North London apartment after friends reported not seeing or hearing from the guitarist in days.

"My family and I have lost a dear friend; the world has lost an enormously talented musician, with unfinished business," Steve Fairhead, a friend and webmaster of Weston’s website, wrote Reuters reports.

Lady Gaga left ‘blood’ behind in a hotel bath

Lady Gaga is said to have left behind large amounts of blood in a hotel bathroom. Gaga had been staying at a hotel in London last summer, but after she checked out of the hotel, hotel staff found blood in the bathtub of her room.

MTV UK reported that one housekeeper on the hotel staff thought that Gaga had been bathing in blood because of some satanic ritual. The housekeeper also added that the hotel staff was instructed to put the blood out of their minds and move on.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited a homeless center in southeast London, at Centrepoint’s Camberwell Foyer centre in Camberwell.

'Sherlock Holmes' sequel premieres in London

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows premiered in London at Leicester Square on Thursday.

The stars of the movie braved the cold weather to talk to fans and reporters about the sequel to Sherlock Holmes(2009).

Robert Downey Jr. returns as the title character, as does Jude Law, who plays Dr. John Watson, as well as Kelly Reilly, who plays Watson’s fiancé Mary.

Jared Harris plays Professor Moriarty and Stephen Fry plays Holmes’ brother Mycroft. The film is directed by Guy Ritchie, Madonna’s former husband.

Beatles amp may sell for over $110,000


An amplifier used by George Harrison while the Beatles were recording Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band will go on auction block later this month in London. The amplifier is estimated to sell for anywhere between $80,000 and $110,000.
