It was revealed on Wednesday that authorities have decided to re-open the sexual assault investigation involving Al Gore, but police did not provide an explanation as to why the case will re-surface. According to the Associated Press, an extra review is needed in the investigation as a result of a misstep that was taken by detectives in 2009. They reportedly failed to inform high-ranking officials that they chose to drop the case and close the investigation at the time.

Al Gore has been receiving bad press ever since his split from his ex-wife, Tipper.

The notoriously not-so-reliable National Enquirer is reporting that Gore sexually assaulted a woman who is choosing to remain anonymous. The woman is a 52-year-old massage therapist from Portland, Oregon and she accuses the former presidential candidate of assaulting her in 2006.
