The ratings for NBC’s Sunday night live broadcast of the Golden Globe Awards drew slightly less viewers this year, with just under 17 million viewers.

CBS beats NBC’s Chargers-Ravens game thanks to their own NFL coverage and ‘Survivor’ finale

For the first time this season, NBC did not win Sunday night. In fact, CBS bested NBC in both overall audience and in the 18-49 rating demographic thanks to the Survivor finale and NFL overrun.

All three will pay the NFL a combined $3 billion a year to continue showing games

The National Football League finalized its television deal with NBC, CBS and Fox, extending their broadcast rights for games through 2022. The deal became possibly largely thanks to a new collective bargaining agreement between the NFL Players Association and the team owners, making sure that a lock out will not happen for another 10 years. The networks will now pay a combined $3 billion a year to continue their broadcasting rights.

The divisional match-up between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys was a huge win. Not just for the Giants, but for NBC as well. The game gave Sunday Night Football its best rating in weeks. Meanwhile, news is getting worse for ABC as Once Upon A Time continues to slide.

Madonna confirmed to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show

Two months after speculation began, Madonna was confirmed as the act for the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show on Feb. 5.

The announcement came Sunday and was posted on Madonna’s official site. It was also announced during NBC’s Sunday Night Football Coverage.
