'Nikita' Recap: 'Clean Sweep'

Nikita left a big cliffhanger at the end of its last episode, ‘Sanctuary,’ three weeks ago, when, just as we thought Amanda was ready to put Percy into a medically induced coma, he pulled the ultimate game-changer on her: grant him his freedom, or his guardians, who interrupted Oversight’s meeting and was holding them hostage, would kill them all and activate Operation Clean Sweep—an escape route Oversight built into Division when it was first created, the ability to gas everyone inside and pretend it never existed if it got out of control.

Nikita steals Oversight money in order to force Oversight to have a meeting. Nikita and Birkhoff want to use Oversight’s meeting to identify the members of Oversight. During the meeting, Birkhoff is captured while Nikita barely escapes. Birkhoff also gets tortured when he refuses to tell Division where Nikita is currently hiding. Nikita switches the black box for Birkhoff’s safety. Meanwhile, Alex finds a way to sneak into Russia.

Thursday’s Nikita had everything from setups, showdowns, breakups, and even some romance. Michael stops by Nikita’s place telling her that he knows that Alex is her mole. He tells Nikita that she has 24 hours to find Kasim. And if she doesn’t in time, Michael would pull the veil on Alex’s cover. Finally, things are getting juicy! Nikita says she would find him.

Amanda sedates Alex.

Thursday’s Nikita has Amanda sedating Alex and interrogating her. Alex is put into a dream state. Amanda wants to put to use the sedation to find out what Alex is hiding. Alex dreams of herself with her young self running from Division men. Alex and her younger self bump into Nikita. Amanda wonders why Alex is seeing Nikita. She saw Nikita and Michael making out. Her mind is fighting Amanda’s tricks. Alex’s mind then goes to a dream where Alex is married to Nathan. They have a baby. This was a dream of Alex having a normal life.

Alex tries to help a girl from her past

While on a mission, Alex runs into a drunk girl who she knew from her past. Alex goes back to the club to help the girl.

Alex gets kidnapped by a Russian guy. She is trapped in a cage. The Russian guy believes that Alex is an heir to a multimillion Russian company. The Russian guy drugged Alex. She has flashbacks to a time when she was young and with her father. Alex’s old friend opens Alex’s cage. After the Russian guy comes back, Alex says her real name. She kills him.

Thursday’s Nikita has Nikita and Ryan working on a mission to stop a weapon coming into the U.S. The other focus was on Alex and Nathan. They finally kissed!

Nikita’s “Coup de Grace” is when Alex learns her first assignment is a group mission to kill the prince of Georgia, but Nikita and Alex plot to ruin the mission and save Prince Erik. Once at the mission, Nikita tells the princess’s assistant that the jewelry is wrong, then the assistant, Lela, shows her to the princess.

Alex got her first cover job.

Thursday night's "Free” episode has Alex excited when she receives a new apartment, a full wardrobe, and a cover job. She can do things like any normal girl, but she can’t do anything that would ruin her cover. Nikita warns her not to get too involved with people, but Alex struggles between her duties and living a normal life.

The flashbacks in this episode are from Alex’s past when she was younger with her dad.
