Paramount's 'Paranormal Activity 2' opened at the top of the box office.
Paranormal Activity 2 took in an estimated $20 million at the box office Friday, including $6.3 million from its midnight screenings, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The R-rated Paramount film, directed by Tod Williams, is estimated to gross upwards of $30 million during opening weekend.
Jackass 3D, another modest budget R-rated film from Paramount, ranked in the No. 2 position, grossing another $7.6 million on Friday. As of Thursday, the film generated upwards of $66 million.
