Actress Jennifer Hudson revealed that she turned down a role in the film Precious (2009).

Hudson made the revelation in her upcoming book I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down. She was offered the role of a pregnant girl who is abused by her mother, played by Mo’Nique, who won an Oscar for her performance in the film.

Stand up comedienne and actress Mo’Nique’s late night talk show on BET has been placed on indefinite hiatus.

The show, which premiered in October of 2009 with great fanfare, featured a variety of ethnically and culturally diverse guests and entertainers, reports HollywoodReporter.com.

CBS News reports that Sidibe was put on the cover of the magazine in conjunction with three other stars -- Lauren Conrad, Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried – as they were picked to be the four cover girls in October to mark Elle Magazine’s 25th anniversary.

Furthermore, the issue is dedicated to 25 "Most Notable Women Under 25,” although Sidibe is 27.

According to Access Hollywood, the actress’ mother, Alice Tan Ridley, appeared on America’s Got Talent on Tuesday to audition for the reality competition series.
