Kerry Washington's career just took a huge leap in the right direction.

Joseph Gordon Levitt joining 'Django Unchained'

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was in New Orleans last year filming Looper with Bruce Willis, but it looks like he's going to be heading back soon for Django Unchained.

Variety reported the 30-year-old is reportedly in the process of looking to see if he can fit the movie's filming schedule into his itinerary.

The movie already has an impressive cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Kurt Russell and Don Johnson. Variety reported it is unknown who Gordon-Levitt will play.

Pulp Fiction changed the shape of cinema, bringing splintered story-telling and extreme violence into the mainstream. In a way, it has become this generation’s Easy Rider (1969), a film that defined a generation of film-making. Lionsgate, which now distributes the Mirimax catalog, released the film on Blu-ray on Oct. 4.

Kurt Russell to replace Kevin Costner in Quentin Tarantino's 'Django Unchained'?

Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained is poised to gain Kurt Russell as a member of its cast.

If he does, Russell, 60, would join an all-star line up of Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson and Jaime Foxx.

Tarantino worked with Russell on 2007’s Death Proof, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

If Russell joins the cast, he will replace Kevin Costner, who pulled out of the project last week due to scheduling conflicts.

Costner backs out of Tarantino film

Kevin Costner has been forced to withdraw from Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film Django Unchained.

Costner was originally set to play Ace Woody, a sadistic man who trains slaves to fight, in Tarantino’s film. However, Costner was forced to back out because of scheduling conflicts.

Jackson and Tarantino reunite

Actor Samuel L. Jackson and writer/director Quentin Tarantino will reunite for the upcoming film, Django Unchained.

The film also stars Leonardo DiCaprio as evil Calvin Candie and Jamie Foxx as the title character.

Although the name Will Smith was floating around Quentin Tarantino's latest project, Django Unchained , the coveted lead role is going to Jamie Foxx.

Deadline reports that the actor, whose acting chops aren't questionable after an Oscar-winning lead in Ray , is indeed in negotiations to play the lead in Tarantino's highly-anticipated spaghetti western.
