‘The Real Housewives of D.C.’ Gets the Axe

Bravo announced Thursday that their series, The Real Housewives of D.C., has been canceled. The series made its television debut last August and only survived one season. Bravo’s cancellation of the show marks the first time a Real Housewives series will not continue on with a second season.

Michaele Salahi Kicked Off ‘Celebrity Rehab’

Michaele Salahi, the notorious White House party crasher, has been asked to leave Celebrity Rehab because she does not have an addiction. Salahi also appeared on the first season of The Real Housewives of D.C.

According to CNN, VH1 released a statement Tuesday night saying, “The treatment program that Celebrity Rehab documents is intended for individuals with serious substance abuse and addiction issues.”

    Michaele Salahi, one of the wives on Bravo’s Real Housewives of DC, but better known as one of the White House party crashers last year, has revealed she suffers from Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

    In a new revealing book by Diane Dimond titled Cirque Du Salahi, Salahi, 44, says MS is the reason she is so thin, despite the claims of others who say she has an eating disorder, the Associated Press reports. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, however, says weight loss is not typical of people who have MS.

    Michaele Salahi is going to auction off the red sari she wore when she and her husband allegedly crashed a White House state dinner last November.

    In an interview with the Associated Press, Salahi said she plans to put the dress up for bid around the time the scandal is addressed in The Real Housewives of D.C..

    As of yet, there is no airdate for the episode. Salahi said the auction proceeds will go to victims of the Haitian earthquake and people with multiple sclerosis.

    The Real Housewives of D.C. is scheduled to premiere on the cable network Bravo at 9 p.m. EDT Thursday. The cast includes Michaele Salahi, the woman who crashed the White House state dinner with her husband Tareq.
