Schimmel’s daughter, Aliyah, swerved to avoid a separate accident on a Phoenix highway when her vehicle flipped and went rolling off the road.

Robert Schimmel’s manager confirmed reports that the comedian is in the hospital in serious condition.

TMZ is reporting that comedian Robert Schimmel is in the hospital in serious condition following a car accident that took place on Thursday night. His 19-year-old daughter was behind the wheel of the car when she swerved to avoid an accident in her lane. The 60-year-old funnyman was in the passenger seat when the vehicle rolled over onto the side of an Arizona freeway.
