'Lost Melody: A Novel,' by Lori Copeland and Virginia Smith

Prophecy, tragedy and romance plus more

Lost Melody is an uplifting story to me. The struggles a person faces in obeying God are not easy. The world shuns the warnings Jill feels led to give to the town.

Jill King survived a subway accident with Robert, an angel with her all the way until she was rescued. Later he appears to her again. I can relate to angels being there for you in an accident. My daughter and I turned upside down in our car in 2003 and angel wings wrapped around both of us.

'Tall, Dark and Cajun' by Sandra Hill

If you cannot handle Song of Solomon, then this book is not for you. If you can, you are in for an adventure.

A book so hard to lay down. First, Rachel burns her 5 year live-in doctor's exercise stuff, etc. Anyone who cannot accept you for who you are, doesn't really love you.

So Rachel heads to Louisiana to meet her grandmother she never knew existed. From the big city to Cajun Country is definitely shell shock. Yet Rachel learns so many lessons, you are gripped by the setting and descriptions.

Worth the Watch: 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1'

Now I find it impossible to believe anyone out there does not know what the whole Twilight thing is all about, but for that one person out there I will give a quick recap.

'A Bravo Homecoming' by Christine Rimmer

Out of all the Bravo family stories, this one is my favorite. You will not be able to put the book down.

I so loved reading about Sam, the tomboy. Also, she and Travis Bravo had been friends for 12 years. They knew each other so well but did not realize they loved each other.

What Sarah endured to make a change in her life and bring out the woman in her was pure torture. I felt for her. But the end results were amazing. Sometimes one does not see beyond the rough interior to the beauty beneath. Travis began to see how much he had missed after Sam had her make-over.

Worth the Watch: 'Abduction'

Abduction, directed by John Singleton (Four Brothers, 2 Fast 2 Furious), stars Taylor Lautner (Twilight Saga) as Nathan, a teenager who has always felt he is a little different. When one day he discovers a picture of himself on a missing persons website, he begins to question everything and everyone he knows. After being attacked at his home by an unknown agency, Nathan is forced on the run. Now he must stay alive when everyone around him is dying in order to discover his true identity and the reason for a mysterious organization wanting him dead.

'Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man' by Steve Harvey / Denene Millner

What Men Really Think About Love, Relationships, Intimacy, and Commitment

Have you ever wondered what makes a man tick? Can this question be readily answered with reasonable explanation? Well, Steve Harvey - the comedian and radio personality turned author of Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man - seems to think so!

Worth the Watch: 'Fright Night'

Fright Night , directed by Craig Gillespie, sees a teenage boy discover exactly who it is that has moved in next door to him. Now everyone thinks they have bad neighbors, but this neighbor is the worst of all, he's not even alive! That's right, he's a vampire. And if having to live next door to a vampire isn't bad enough, he has taken an unhealthy interest in Charlie Brewster's mother and girlfriend. Now this teenage boy must single-handedly defend the people he loves by killing the vampire next door.
