Angelina Jolie will reprise her role as Evelyn Salt in an upcoming sequel to the Kurt Wimmer-penned blockbuster Salt.

According to Deadline, Sony Pictures is moving forward with the sequel, as the original made the studio $300 million worldwide.

The Philip Noyce-directed original left a window of opportunity open for a follow-up film, as Jolie spent the majority of the film on the run after being outed as a Russian spy.
