Sofia Vergara has no desire to be taken seriously

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara never worried about being taken seriously in Hollywood. Mainly because she never wanted to be.

The actress told Advocate magazine she had no desire to ever read for serious roles. “I don’t want to be serious…I know the roles that I can play: They’re funny, and I love it.”

Vergara proceeds to tell the magazine she never was the serious type, even as a child. “I was the class clown, my family laughed at me, and I loved being ridiculous.”

By now it’s a known fact that Glee star and Emmy nominee, herself, Jane Lynch will host this year’s Emmy Awards.

While Lynch has dropped some hints on what to expect for the 63rd Primetime Emmys, such as the Glee cast being incorporated in some way, now we know who to expect as presenters at the show.

Taking a break from their usual fist pumping, the Jersey Shore cast filmed a cameo in the upcoming film The Three Stooges.

Jenni “JWoww” Farley revealed, “I took away so much… I actually enjoyed acting and I enjoy being part of [a film], so I would love to see what the future holds — whether it’s acting or something else.”

She continued, “We got out of our comfort zone and we really impressed each other, like to see Sam, she was phenomenal, Ronnie, everyone!”

'Modern Family' meets 'The Actors Studio'

Michael Schimmel has presented us with in-depth interviews from some of the most accomplished actors of our time. On June 7, he delighted us with the cast of Modern Family on his show, Inside the Actors Studio.

Schimmel starts the show by having each of the six main characters from Modern Family go into their own lives and acting backgrounds.

Ed O'Neill had the studio laughing by the end of his first spoken sentence. Sofia Vergara kept the laughs going when she talked about growing up and labeling herself "well-endowed."
