Stan Lee honored again

Comic book legend Stan Lee has been selected to receive the Vanguard Award by the Producers Guild of America.

The award recognizes achievements in new media and technology. Previous honorees include George Lucas and John Lasster.

This marks another award bestowed on Lee in 2011. He was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in January. He was also chosen to receive a lifetime achievement award by the Visual Effects Society.

Comic book legend Stan Lee will be honored with the next Lifetime Achievement Award from the Visual Effects Society (VES).

Lee, known for creating icons such as Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four, has been credited with the boom of successful comic book movies in the past few years, including X-Men(2000) and Spider-Man(2002).

Arnold Schwarzenegger is not going to retire from political life quietly, as his The Governator project with comic legend Stan Lee continues to grow and now will include a film.

While the project was initially revealed to Entertainment Weekly last Wednesday, at that point, the collaborators said that the project would include just a comic series, video games and an animated TV series. Now you can add film to the list, as Schwarzenegger revealed in Cannes today.

On Tuesday, the 88-year-old got his own star on the Walk of Fame. Although Lee has created iconic heros like Spider-Man and Iron Man, Lee just couldn't believe that he now has a Walk of Fame star.
