Why Did ‘The Switch’ Disappoint?

Who is to blame for the movie's failure at the box office?

Jennifer Aniston’s latest movie, The Switch, opened to a disappointing $8.4 million, which makes it another notch on Aniston’s belt of unsuccessful movies. The movie has a 29 percent Fresh rate on Rotten Tomatoes, earning the movie a rotten rating. Usually, the opinions of critics do not represent the public's taste, as recently demonstrated by The Expendables, which has a 39 percent Fresh rating, but has made $65 million at the box office thus far. The Switch's failure comes down to its lack of studio support.
