'Thank You Notes' by Jimmy Fallon and the writers of 'Late Night'

After reading Thank You Notes by Jimmy Fallon and the writers of Late Night in about five minutes, I’ve realized this is part of a new generation of novels, a whole new genre. If you’ll allow, I am going to coin a new phrase for this: Tweet Books. Thank You Notes, along with Denis Leary’s recent release, Suck on This Year (a collection of tweets by Leary), is a new form of writing, where each page contains a short, less then 150 character passage, that quickly gets to the point/laugh; much like a Twitter update.

My Horizontal Life

by Chelsea Handler

I read one book by Chelsea Handler and just could not get enough, but no worries, she has multiple books out, and each is just as good as the one before. My Horizontal Life is specifically about Handler’s dating life, starting from when she was still living at home with her parents and ranging throughout her life on her own, working at various jobs.

I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell

by Tucker Max

I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell is the absolutely ridiculous true story of an outrageous bachelor. Tucker Max is the exact opposite of what every girl should want in life, but the kind of guy that girls just can’t resist no matter how many times they tell themselves that he is bad news. There really is something about the bad boy that girls love, and no one proves this point more than Tucker Max in his hilarious account of real life adventures.

'How I Met Your Mother' Thrills with Season 6 Opener

'HIMYM' promises all the heart, and possibly more laughs than before.

Monday night’s episode of How I Met Your Mother was a reminder of just how great the show is. It begins with Ted sitting outside a church, obviously nervous about the events that are about to transpire. In a flash, we are back at MacLaren’s, where Ted grades papers and Barney laments over the end of summer and the glory of sundresses.

Summer at the Jersey Shore Comes to an End

The season finale of the Jersey Shore was a sentimental one as the group prepared to leave behind a summer of hook ups, fights, and the relationships formed with each other.

Sammi picked an angry Ronnie up from the police station after he pulvarized someone the night before and the two proceeded to discuss where their relationship would go after the Jersey Shore.

Lamb

Read the real story behind Christ's life. You'll laugh, you'll cry.

Ah. The History of God- who doesn't want to know about that? I for one, most certainly do. And if it involves Chinese concubines named Tiny Feet of the Divine Dance of Joyous Orgasm, hey, I'm not going to complain.

Lamb is Christopher Moore's masterpiece, and I know this because I've read many of his dazzling oeuvres, like Island of the Sequined Love Nun, The Stupidest Angel, A Dirty Job, and more recently, Bloodsucking Fiends, and none of them even come close to the brilliance of Lamb, even though they are pretty well-written.

Chuck Klosterman IV: A Decade of Curious People and Dangerous Ideas

Compilation of fact and fiction never flags in spite of stylistic hiccups

Critic and columnist Chuck Klosterman has become one of the most celebrated cultural commentators of the new millennium. "Chuck Klosterman IV," his fourth book, shows why this is true. Its 2006 release adds another collection of wit and wisdom about music, sports, movies and may other subjects both intriguing and banal to Klosterman's fine body of work encompassing the spectacular triumvirate of his earlier non-fiction works: "Fargo Rock City;" "Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs;" and "Killing Yourself to Live."
